Fri, Jan 30 Death Valley, CA

Last night we stayed in Furnace Creek so we would be closer to the south side of the park. We started out going to an old mine, you could see some structure left but could not go in the mine.

Then we drove up to Aguereberry Point

Elevation 6,433, Peter Aguereberry's fav spot. Panamint Mt behind us and looking out over Badwater salt flats (ref to Saturday's blog)

This is Mosaic Canyon, the next 2 pic just don't do it justice.
On our hike we had to do some rock scrambling to get here, it was fun. This wall of rock looked like it was wet clay but it's rock.

This is Salt Creek, can you see the colors in this rock?

We drove Titus Canyon, 1.5 miles of bouncy bouncy. See how close the canyon walls are to us? You have to have a car with high clearance to do this drive. We finished just before the sun when down.
