We went to Mt. Pisagh and hiked at Water Rock Knob. It was a short but steep hike to the highest point on the Blue Ridge Parkway Trail system. A highlight of the hike was a Painted Trillium at the peak. Then Red Trilliums near the bottom of the hike. Trilliums are one of my favorite flowers.
We also visited the towns of Cherokee, which we visited when we were at the Great Smoky Mountains, and Bryson City. Both towns are pretty touristy so we just drove through.
I wasn't feeling great so called it an early night. Tom thinks I had altitude sickness. Maybe, but doing fine now.
Picture link is the same May 8-May 11.
