It was unseasonable warm, the day we visited Portland (Maine) it snowed in the NW while we were touring in our shirt sleeves!

We visited lots of lighthouses

This one is Portland Head Light, near Cape Elizabeth. It has a 72 foot stone tower and cost $1,500 finished in Jan 1791.

I think this is Fort McClary in Kittery Point. The blockhouse (another missing pic) is an octagon, I believe this pic is taken from the blockhouse.
