Drive from Cody WY to Rapid City SD
While we were in Cody we decided there was more to see & do in Rapid City than in Sheridan, WY. So we'll be in Rapid City for 4 days.
When leaving Cody the heard the road to Yellowstone was closed. Why you say? SNOW!
We are lucky we got out of Yellowstone when we did.
We wanted to take the Beartooth Hwy, which was longer, north & more scenic but watching Wy DOT, they were hoping to have it cleared but more snow was expected. We played it safe cuz we've got our summer tires on the car and they are bad in cold temps.
